Algebra Reflection

For my first test I got 3/6 I got shaping up colors wrong I put pale triangle and not blue circle. For the third question I got that wrong I put 3 patterns and 7 matches and got that wrong instead of putting pattern 4 I put pattern 3 for the matches instead of putting 14 matches I put 7 matches. For growing numbers I got 31 instead of putting 43. For folding fractions I got them all wrong because I did not know how to work it out. For fencing I got 98 cause I had no clue how to work it out so I just guessed.

I reckon on my sceond test i did better with a score of 5/6. I got shaping colors wrong with the same mistake as my first sheet. For matchstick moves I got the amount of triangles right as an answer but the matches wrong with the answer of nine instead of 14. Growing numbers I got 46 instead of 43. For folding fractions for parts I got 16 then 32 which were right but for each fraction I got 1/10 instead of 1/16 and 32 instead of 1/32.

In conclusion I think I did pretty well in my last test.

Teaching Fractions

So on Tuesday the 27th we had to teach Adding fractions. I was in group 1. I was put in a group with Max,Holly and Benico. On Monday was the day we had to sort out what we were teaching on Tuesday the 27th of June. So we made a kahoot about adding fractions we also made 2 sheets one hard and one easy. We also planned what we were going to teach on Tuesday. The next day we got set up to teach adding fraction lesson we were all set up and ready to go. we had two lessons that we were going to teach. So we waited for our group that we were going to teach then we started seeing people starting to teach their lesson. we then went up to the board to see who we were teaching and relised that they were away. so we went to tell the teacher so we just observed the other group. Then finally it was our turn to teach. we were going to teach Rome and Jack H. So we started off our lesson with a kahoot to see what they knew about adding fractions. after that we gave them a worksheet  they both chose easy. Rome got 7/10 and Jack got 10/10. We then did some teaching and they then had a good uderstanding. I think me and max did pretty good.

Trip to the Aviation Museum

 On the first of Tuesday June 2021 us unicorns all went on a field trip to the flight Museum we had heaps of fun and learnt about what they do for their job and how. there were heaps of different kinds of old planes there that they were repairing.

In one of the planes they were fixing the bottom of the plane because it was rotting away. They were then going to move the plane out of the shed (which sounded like a big job.) They were going to repaint it`s original color. Which was yellow with a little bit of white around the wing`s.

   

Next we went to the helicopter place and looked at the helicopter which was cool cause we got to see inside of the helicopter.They also were happy to explain all of our questions.there were heaps of buttons and controls.They also had night vision goggles! It was super cool and i would love to go there again.

Refletcion for measurement test

 I have definitely gotten a  better understanding on the measurement bit i think the workshops really helped  me. 

Although i think I needed to have more workshops on estimating and converting between measurements. i have now got a really good understanding temperature also understanding negative numbers and positive ones. 

i can see a big improvement but there are still some areas that i need to work on but in the end for my first on i got 16 wrong out of  56 and for my second one i got 6 out of 56.

i think i did well but if i did another two workshops i still would improve a tiny bit more each time.

12 things in Elsa's pocket In elsas pocket if you dug deep you would find: 2 big snowballs incase if she got into a snowball fight with her sister arna;her last letter she received from her parents before they mysteriously disappeared she always kept that letter by her side so if she ever saw her parents she could ask what had happened;she would always keep her magical wand beside her incase if she found the evil villain she has been looking for;she would never let go of her gloves that she use to hold back her powers when they became incontrolable just in case if they ever did;she always kept her mums powerful scarf beside her to hold of f villains powerful powers;she had to have carrots beside her in case if olaf's nose fell off again,she even had her pillow on her because it could turn into anything like a tent or a bed all made and ready for her to sleep in; she had to have 2 sticks for olaf's arms if they fell off, she even had a bag of snow incase if olaf melted (just to make olaf feel safe that he is not going to melt.);he had her sisters phone number if she ever got lost;she always had her snow goggles to see what was in the snow instead of digging;she had a photo of where olofs food was just in case if she lost the food;if you dug really deep you would find the tiny fire monster curled up in a ball sleeping;she also had her powerful super phone that she found with her super googles she always used that phone that had a super bullet in her phone she could ring her sister it had all the gear for rock climbing out of the monsters cave;she would have carl's address to his house in her pocket if she ever got lost and needed a rest at his house;the last thing she would have in her pocket was her ice spray to spray at olaf when he won't stop talking she would spray it at his mouth and freeze his mouth shut. At the start i needed to work:on punctuation i think i did good to nail it.

 My Weekly Reflection for Week 8

What I learned this week was:

 In Maths was how to: add and subtract with decimals.

In Spelling how to spell: 5 long i sound.

Thinking about our value of responsibility, this is how I’ve been responsible this week:i was on task i did all of my homework.

My next steps are to: work on my writing goals and my poetry.

My person who I think has been the most responsible this week is: syopne for being responsible for her learning and stepping up to be a leader.

statistics reflection

 What I’ve got better at or improved upon:  

I reckon i have gotten better at setting out my graphs i have definitely improved on the certain and impossible.

What I still need to work on:

I still need to work on the holiday time sceition and the strip graph otherwise i am good.

What I enjoyed and what could be better:

I enjoy doing the kahoot`s and workshops but i think we could use a few workshops a day.

Respect	Responsibility
I always log off and return my device to the charging areas when I have finished.  I know that in order to keep me safe at school, there are sites, programs, and Apps that I am forbidden to use.  I understand that sometimes it may be better to communicate with people in person rather than digitally. I only use my Makauri gmail account at school. If you bring your own device to school, use it in the ways, and at the times that your teacher says it is okay to.	I don’t share my password for my email account with anyone, even my friends. I never put my personal information online - You never know who might be able to access it. I understand that my parents and teachers trust me to make good decisions online that help me learn and build respect among my peers.  I will make mistakes online but I will use them as learning experiences to move forward. I think it's important that when I feel unsafe online I must tell an adult at school or at home.
